Business Alchemy wasn't built in a boardroom. It came from twenty years of operating, fixing and rebuilding businesses from the inside, and noticing they kept breaking in the same order.
The story
From the tools to the COO's chair.
Troy started on the tools as an electrician and ended his corporate career running operations across businesses from $10M to $100M, with an MBA picked up along the way.
Most of those twenty years were spent inside companies that were broken when he arrived and working when he left. One Australian services business went from a $2.5M loss to a $2.5M profit in five years. The bleeding stopped in three months. The structure took the rest.
Across COO and transformation roles in Australia and New Zealand, he delivered more than half a billion dollars in revenue uplift. The work kept repeating its shape: the same patterns broke in different industries, the same order of correction fixed them, and the same kinds of results followed.
He left corporate to write down what he'd been doing by instinct. Business Pattern Science is the result: five patterns, a fixed sequence, the diagnostic instruments that measure them and a doctrine for reading them. The book sets out the discipline. Business Alchemy applies it.
